The University of North Georgia is currenrtly accepting applications for a Grants Accountant on the Dahlonega campus. The Grants Accountant will perform a variety of accounting duties involving financial record keeping, reporting, and reconciling, and account analysis.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:The Grants Accountant will:
- Perform grant-related post award functions, including budget and expense analysis, financial reporting, labor distribution changes and budget modifications
- Reconcile the Office of Research and Engagement’s departmental budget
- Develop financial forecasts and overviews designed to monitor expenditures and revenues for programs
- Provide monthly reports to the Director of Research Compliance and the Chief Research Officer
- Support program with time and effort reporting, ensuring it is complete and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Must have ability to prioritize and self-direct, analyze situations.
- Skill in researching, analyzing and evaluating complex financial data.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to provide a high level of customer service and establish and maintain effective interdepartmental communications and relationships.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Management
- Two (2) years accounting experience; experience in grant account preferred
- Proficiency in various computer applications including comprehensive databases, spreadsheets and word processing software.
