Providing proper program support to UCLA's Office of Gift Planning is critical to ensuring smooth and effective operations for the team.

Under the supervision of the Senior Executive Director, Gift Planning, the Manager, Gift Planning Program Operations and Communications will be responsible for providing operational, administrative, analytical, and technical support for the Gift Planning team as well as developing and distributing a wide variety of staff and donor communications. This individual will coordinate and assist with special projects, events and seminars undertaken or sponsored by the Gift Planning team; utilize research tools, computer programs and related University resources to compile donor information, reports, and assist in the preparation of planned gift donor proposals and gift calculations; and maintain relations with donors, volunteers and administrative and academic leadership over the phone, at events and through written correspondence. Manager will receive work assignments and guidance from the Senior Executive Director, Directors and Assistant Directors of Gift Planning, with direct supervision provided by the Senior Executive Director, Gift Planning. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:30 pm function checkForSelectedStatus(){ return true;} Qualifications for Position 14 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred 1.Minimum of two to three years' prior experience and progressive responsibility in a fundraising, advancement and/or financial, business or operations environment working with transactions of a highly detailed nature. Required 2.Engaged, focused and goal-oriented with a high level of initiative, energy and interest in the field of planned giving and tax encouraged philanthropy. Required 3.Demonstrated written communication skills to prepare, proofread and edit a variety of correspondence and reports for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax. Required 4.Analytical skills sufficient to accurately and thoroughly evaluate prospect /donor information with ability to track and report on planned giving activities. Required 5.Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications and Adobe Acrobat PDF including ability to enter, edit and proof data with a high degree of accuracy; ability to create and maintain databases and complex spreadsheets and learn other software/applications in a prompt and efficient manner. Required 6.Proven track record in delivering a high standard and level of customer service; demonstrated interpersonal skills interact with a wide variety of internal and external constituents in a friendly, professional manner and respond promptly and efficiently to requests. Required 7.Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively obtain and convey information with diplomacy, accuracy and discretion. Required 8.Highly detail-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of team under minimal direction; demonstrated skill in organizing work, setting priorities, following through on projects and handling multiple tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Required 9.Working knowledge of data-gathering techniques with ability to analyze data and information to define objectives, resolve issues and prepare information into appropriate summaries and reports. Required 10.Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as required for meetings and special events. Required 11. Working knowledge in coordinating special events is preferred. Preferred 12. Knowledge of university policies, organization and systems relevant to the operations of gift planning is preferred. Preferred 13. Working knowledge and/or usage of Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge or other donor related software/databases is preferred. Preferred 14. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
