The Theoretical & Computational Seismology group in the Department of Geosciences at Princeton University, led by Professor Jeroen Tromp, has an opening for a postdoctoral or more senior researcher in the area of global seismic tomography. Essential qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geosciences or related field and excellent computational skills. The research will focus on further development of global full waveform inversion based on spectral-element and adjoint methods. The position is available for one year, with a possibility for renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and funding.
