Postdoctoral Research Associate
A postdoctoral or more senior research position in the Princeton Neuroscience Institute collaborating directly with the Department of Psychology and the Kahneman Treisman Center for Behavioral Science and Public Policy is available. The position will be based on close collaboration between the labs of Professors Eldar Shafir, Betsy Levy Paluck and Uri Hasson. The research position will focus on developing and applying new big data analysis tools to geographical, time series, and social media based datasets. The ideal candidate will have a computational background, with signal processing skills and experience with analysis of big data. PhD is required. While prior experience with social studies is advantageous, we encourage applications from other fields of science, as statistical physics or machine learning, as long as the applicant wishes to apply analysis tools from these fields to study social behaviors in real-life contexts. The term of this appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory performance and funding. Interested applicants must apply online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/5641 and include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae including a publication list, and contact information of at least two references. This position is subject to the University's background check policy.
