Residence Director

Description:
The Resident Director(RD) is responsible for the overall management of a residential community housing up to 1035 students. This unique position requires the RD to live on campus in order to fulfill frequent evening and weekend responsibilities (such as advising students, hall governments, facilitating and participating in programming efforts, and assisting with special campus events) as well as serving in an on-call capacity to respond to both emergency and non-crisis situations.
Report To: Associate Director of Residential Life and Housing or Area Coordinator
Direct Reports: None
Student Workers this position supports: RAs, Senior RAs, Office Assistants and Welcome Desk Assistants (75)

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
Masters degree in student personnel or other related field or equivalent experience.
A minimum of one year full-time related experience beyond the bachelor’s level is required.
Must have a commitment to diversity, intersections of individuals and team building.
Ability to effectively work with students from a broad range of backgrounds and life experiences.
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail a must.
Comprehensive knowledge of student development theory, housing operations, and residential life.
