Community College of Philadelphia is seeking to fill a Project Director, Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) position. The Project Director provides leadership, coordination, direction and vision for the KEYS program. The Project Director works closely with the PA State Bureau of Employment and Training, Philadelphia County Assistance Offices and other agencies to support TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) recipients who are in need of employment and training opportunities and/or are pursuing a career specific credit certificate or associate degree as determined by state county assistance guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, education or closely related area required. Any and all degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.

• Minimum 2 years experience working with a disadvantaged population, specifically in employment and training welfare-to-work programs, to include program coordination experience.

• Knowledge of policies applicable to TANF and SNAP recipients enrolled in employment and training programs and post-secondary education.

• Knowledge of community resources to help students address barriers to employment, training and education.

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, computer, written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with college staff and external agencies.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow through in assisting participants and students.

• Commitment to student success, student-centered education and employment and training programs for participants.


Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.

• Community college experience preferred.
