- Assist in the receiving, inspection and preparation of inventory and non-inventory equipment/supplies for distribution. Applies proper techniques the in the care and preservation of items received, stored, and distributed or redistributed. Cross references nomenclatures, part numbers and other information against purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Maintains computer records of items delivered and received through an automated inventory system. Compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, bill of lading, and other accounting records to record receipt or disbursement of materials or supplies, and computing inventory balances. Generates and places asset decals on equipment considered as assets.
- Performs the receipt, storage, handling, and disposal of electronic surplus materials between departments and the surplus warehouse. Performs or assist in the movement of all electronic and asset surplus material including receiving, issuing and reporting any shortage, overage or damaged materials. Assists in the loading of surplus items on vendor's transport. Must maintain a valid State of Georgia Driver's License and be able to lift 50 lbs utilizing safety equipment.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED and three years of related experience.
