DescriptionJob Purpose: Provide a safe ride, transporting passengers around campus to various drop-off locations. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle.

 

Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide campus transportation for students.
  • Perform courier duties as needed.
  • Work with special events as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: High School/GED or Vocational School Diploma
  • Work Experience: Two years driving experience, preferably in passenger transportation, in a university environment
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License
  • Skills: Effective customer service skills

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is often required to use hands and feet to handle, or operate objects, controls, or components of a vehicle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch to assist passengers in a vehicle. The employee must occasionally push and/or pull more than 25 pounds, including assisting with wheel chairs and/or passenger baggage. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in all weather conditions is required; the ability to see well at night when driving is required. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
