Miami University's innovative Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies (AIMS) is seeking a talented, qualified and enthusiastic candidate to help lead interdisciplinary experiential learning programs across multiple locations (including Cincinnati and San Francisco.) These cross-disciplinary, semester-long programs where students live, work and network with entrepreneurs, innovators and game changers are known to many as Miami University’s Digital Innovation programs.

Duties/Physical Demands:Innovation Center Project Manager will have a range of responsibilities related to advancing local industry relationships, research, teaching and service activities of the Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies. These activities will specifically focus on, but are not limited to:

Internship identification and acquisition

Engaging and strengthening Miami's ties to the startup community in San Francisco, Cincinnati and beyond

Identifying areas of mutual opportunity for the program and the startup community

Fostering student community development and connection to the local technology ecosystem

Determining, managing and coordinating housing in Cincinnati and San Francisco

Organizing educational networking events

Developing marketing strategy for programs, across campus and beyond

Owning the application and interview process

Advising students on professional development

Developing and managing annual budget

Promotion and marketing

While primarily focused on the Cincinnati and San Francisco Innovation Centers, as a member of the staff of AIMS, the project manager will be responsible for other tasks provided by the Director and Assistant Director of AIMS and in support of the missions and tactical goals of the Institute and the University.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, excellent written and oral presentation skills, willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends, ability to adapt within entrepreneurial start-up environment and a willingness to operate primarily between Cincinnati and Oxford with occasional site visits to San Francisco and potentially additional program locations. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with startups and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
