Test Administrator

Position Summary

This position serves as a Test Administrator in the Testing Office, and will administer the full range of tests offered, including, but not limited to, the GRE, GED, MTTC and GMAT; provide a high level of interaction with the public and in person, as well as via phone and e-mail; will receive, process, and deliver exams/directions and procedures, and seek guidance from proper channels to resolve problems that arise during testing; will be proficient with testing software and with administering computer-based exams; collect fees and assist with weekly deposits; schedule exam appointments; assist with records, monitoring accounts, maintaining and reconciling bookkeeping records and submit bills for departmental or individual products or services; organize and assist with regular office procedures; protect security of all test information and materials; manage incident of misconduct and potential breaches in test security. Will uphold our standard for integrity by providing clients with a secure and clean testing location that enables our clients to pursue their testing needs in a controlled and comfortable environment. Must be flexible, days and times are subject to change according to demand of testing, including occasional evenings and/or Saturdays. Typical hours are between 7AM-5PM, Monday-Friday.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education with coursework in typing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, calendaring and/or presentation software; typing and filing; and may require knowledge of technical terminology and/or technical training related to the field of employment; may require bilingual abilities in a specific language; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in an office setting and working with students; strong oral and written communications skills; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to maintain strict confidentiality; demonstrates a work orientation that includes problem solving, taking initiative, and working as part of a team; ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment; comfortable with Microsoft Windows based computer applications; ability to read and interpret documents such as operational instructions.
