Princeton University

Openings are available in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University for two postdoctoral researchers in theoretical plasma physics. The researchers will participate in studies of the interaction of intense electromagnetic energy with plasma. The successful applicants will have a PhD in theoretical or computational plasma physics, or a related field. A strong background in fluid dynamics or in plasma interactions in extreme regimes of plasma density will be valuable. Initial appointments are for one year, with the expectation of renewal for a second year. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. The start date is negotiable. Applicants must apply online and submit a curriculum vita, bibliography, a statement of research interest, and provide contact information for three reference at: Letters of recommendation will also be handled through this site.
