GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall operation of the college retail operations, including supervision of employees and maintaining appropriate stock levels for merchandise in the store. Assist students, staff, and faculty with purchases of textbooks, educational materials, and general merchandise while reflecting a positive image for the retail operations and the college. Student service is an essential part of the job.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire, train, and lead the team in maximizing customer service, sales and profits.
  • Supervise, schedule, and approve time sheets for employees.
  • Oversee operations of textbook management system, cash registers, and other terminals.
  • Partner with academic personnel in course material adoption and future direction setting.
  • Work with supervisor/finance department on budget development.
  • Manages sales and financial budgets to exceed sales goal.
  • Guide marketing strategy and store branding.
  • Participate in campus events on behalf of the retail operations.
  • Monitor sell through of general merchandise to impact buying decisions.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:


Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) sitting, pushing, pulling and lifting. Frequent (34-66%) standing, reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of related experience is required.
  • Completion of Bachelor's Degree.
