General Position Description

Primarily responsible for developing new applications and extensions to existing applications that interact with Colleague using .Net and UniData. To update, debug, maintain code in any Colleague application and provide advanced technical support. Works with other programmers and managers to determine what support is needed. Receives general direction from the Coordinator of Administrative Systems and exercises no supervision. NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education: Associate degree or equivalent education and work experience from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two years of professional work experience.

Skills in: 9) .Net Programming, Languages Used (C#, UniData, HTML5, Envision Basic, JavaScript, CSS, Perl, Java, C++, PHP, SQL, BASH/KSH Scripting); 10) Integrated Development Environments (Colleague Studio, Visual Studio); 11) Version Control with GIT; 12) Microsoft Office Suites; 13) Adobe Software (Photoshop, Acrobat, LiveCycle); 14) Developing and modifying reports and dashboards using Informer reporting solution and/or query tools (UniQuery). Ability to: 15) Communicate, plan, multi-task, and prioritize work assignments; 16) understand complex concepts and apply logical solutions; 17) work independently and on a team.

Working Conditions

Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
