JOB DUTIES

Answer telephones, Greet patients, Update and file patient medical records, Arrange for laboratory services, Perform other administrative duties as directed. Clinic Duties may include but not limited to the following: Assist medical and nursing staff in a variety of tasks including: Taking medical histories andrecording vital signs, Explaining treatment procedures to patients, Preparing patients for examinations and procedures, Assisting the physician during the examination and procedures,Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, Perform basic laboratory tests on the premises Dispose of contaminated supplies, Sterilize medical instruments. Promote patient/family understanding of the educational content and his/her involvement in the plan of care, and document in patient record.

Perform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by the physician. Specialty specific – Position supports the following Adult Multi-Specialties: Gyn-Community/MIGS(Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery) and Lab• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician• Prepare patients for tests and procedures.• Remove sutures/ staples.• Change sterile and non-sterile dressings.• Chaperone MD in room during exam• Vital signs and intake• Stock rooms• Set up and assist with procedures• Specimen Collections: Pregnancy test, Urinalysis & C&S, pap smears,cultures• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician• Prepare patients for tests and procedures• Assist with Maestro in-basket management and Rx refill requests per protocol• Lab Coverage• Retrieve lab orders• Blood draws• Spin down specimen• Separate specimen• Gajema specimen for pick-up• Open/close lab• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements/Preferences
Requires graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurseprogram and successful completion of an approved Pharmacology program.

Experience Requirements/Preferences
No experience required. Degrees, Licensure, and/or CertificationCurrent State of North Carolina LPN licensure is required.

Working Conditions
Must be able to work under time pressures in a busy clinic/office environment.
Must be present on site for 8 hour shifts during standard business hours.
Must participate in group activities requiring interpersonal skills & cooperation.
Must work as late person when scheduled or according to business needs
Must be able to react quickly and immediately respond to emergencies.
Must travel between locations on needed basis.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments, conflicting demands & priorities.
Must maintain attention to detail over extended period of time.
Must be continually aware of variations in changing situations.
Must be able to move throughout office environment throughout day.
Must be able to lift 20-25 lbs.
Must be able to push/pull 20-25 lbs.
