The Federal Work Study for Facilities will be responsible to complete a multitude of tasks as directed by the Associate or Executive Director of Facilities. Tasks can range from accompanying maintenance technicians on routine service calls, organizing and cleaning areas of the warehouse, and assisting events set up team with tasks. At times, this position will require physical labor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist GGC Facilities department with receiving/making phone calls, entering/modifying work orders, and assisting staff/technicians with special projects as needed.
- Must also exhibit desire to learn. Candidate may be asked to assist maintenance staff with non-technical tasks, serving as ground guide for a technician on a ladder/lift, or assist Events Team with setting up for Campus events.
- Ability to lift/carry loads over 50lbs. At times, position will include working in an active warehouse environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a Federal Work-Study award and be in good academic standing, must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and be able to handle confidential information.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing.
