Job Details
Sheppard Memorial Library – located at 530 Evans St, Greenville, NC 27858 – is currently seeking a Federal Work Study student to be the Summer Reading Coordinator in the Children’s Library.
Duties include:
-Coordinate the distribution and maintenance of summer reading materials and prizes for the main library, the four branch libraries, and the bookmobile.
-Create program props and materials for weekly story hours.
-Assist groups with maintaining summer reading records.
-Create displays and bulletin boards.
- Collect books, songs, and poems for weekly programs.
-Count and record statistics at the end of the Summer program
-Attend the wrap-up event held in early August to assist as needed.
-Assist in library duties as needed.
-Assist children and families in finding materials
-Shelve library materials.
Requires working some evenings and weekends.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)Applicant should be organized, artistic, computer literate, and work well with the public (particularly with children.)
