Laboratory Supervisor IMicrobiology/Immunology

Summary

The Lab Supervisor I is responsible for oversight of projects and equipment in Dr. Noverr's fungal pathogenesis research laboratory, as well as the supervision and training of lab personnel. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and the coordination of repair and/or maintenance of the labs with facilities services and/or vendors.  This position will also involve developing and troubleshooting immunological assays including cytokine analysis, qPCR arrays, and maintaining breeding colonies for all knockout animals and supervising animal husbandry. The position will also involve assisting in training and supervising graduate students and post-docs. This individual will also serve as the laboratory safety representative and work with the Department Safety Representative and OEHS.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science and 3 years of directly related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in biological sciences
• Experience in electronic record keeping
• Experience in graphic display of experimental data
