The Assistant OR Associate Director of Student Recruitment (ADR) is responsible for new student recruitment and admission goals for their assigned regional campuses or degree programs. This position reports directly to the campus Director and works collaboratively with all campus staff to achieve enrollment goals; this position is expected to closely coordinate activities with Enrollment Management especially on recruiting strategies, processes, and metrics for success.

Specific Duties:
  • Generate new leads for the regional campus by introducing marketing initiatives that target organizations.
  • Create new on-site degree programs at corporations, organizations, public agencies or community colleges by identifying the right organizations to forge partnerships and do follow up on referrals.
  • Conducting on-site information sessions, identify in house marketing channels to market our programs.
  • Build and maintain partner relationships.
  • Develop plans to replace outgoing cohorts.
  • Convert prospective students at new cohorts to applicants & follow through to enrolled status.
  • Represents the Regional Campus and University at community events, fairs, networking events, to generate leads resulting in the applications and enrolled students.
  • Track & follow-up with all leads in the form of RFIs, RSVPs, walk-ins or referrals through personal contact and CRM system.
  • Respond to leads including but not limited to: contacting prospective students and invite them to a personal appointment followed up by an information session; conduct monthly information sessions at the Regional Campus and facilitate the application process; monitor inquiries, application counts, admission status and registration of all new students; follow up with all incomplete applications from previous terms.
  • Use Banner, CRM, and other recruitment systems to utilize data and conduct data analytics including student conversion ratio.
  • Attend all training on new systems, updates, etc.
  • Maintain and update organization/corporate/prospect lists and databases in appropriate CRM system.
  • Work with the Campus Director in setting up enrollment goals driven by enrollment projections and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Participate in regional campus team meetings and provide updates regarding new student and cohort updates.
  • Work with the Campus Director in scheduling and conducting new student orientation each term, in conjunction with campus advisors, to ensure proper academic advising.
  • Share best practices in recruiting with other recruiters and attend regular meetings as schedules by ROC dean and/or Campus Directors.
  • Under the direction of the Dean and/or Campus Director, implement a recruitment and an admission processes that meet the need of the regional campus and utilizes the staff’s expertise and time effectively.
  • Work with Campus Director on marketing needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 5 years experience and knowledge in recruiting professional adult students, both from corporate and academic environments.
  • 5 years experience and knowledge of university requirements and interpretations of policy, UC/CSU transferability guidelines, IGETC, WASC, NCATE, and other accreditation bodies.
  • Experience and success in recruiting efforts for professional, adult students.
  • Experience with Recruiter, Banner, Word, Excel, Power Point, BDMS and Slate.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree
  • Non-profit university experience.
  • Sales experience focused on the adult learner.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
