The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Facilities Specialist 1 to join our operations team. The Facilities Specialist will report directly to the Director of Facilities and Operations and will perform specialized, diverse work activities and coordinate solutions, under limited supervision, solely supporting the operations, maintenance, repair, upkeep, inventory tracking, and refurbishing activities related to the physical environment and building systems. This position has a particular focus on environmental health and safety with regards to wet and dry labs.
The Department of Psychiatry is the third largest department in the School of Medicine with faculty, staff, clinical and research trainees and has locations in 11 buildings across campus. The Facilities Specialist 1 would be expected to be able to travel between all departmental locations both on and off campus.
Duties include:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Associate degree and three years related, demonstrated facilities management experience, or a combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Valid California Non-commercial Driver's License.
