The Registration & Student Records Specialist provides oversight for the quality and integrity of all JGSB academic degree program records, provides academic support services, and oversees constituent units that include building and room operations, academic support services, and registrar functions. The Registration & Student Records Specialist will provide oversight in the delivery of comprehensive services and operations serving all students (MBA and non-MBA) in all aspects of their enrollment needs from entry to exit. The Registration & Student Records Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment while promoting excellent customer service in a fast-paced, multicultural setting. The Registration and Students Records Specialist plans and develops strategies for the maintenance and upgrading of academic information infrastructures. S/he ensures the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of student academic records and supports the implementation and enforcement of academic policies and procedures across JGSB.

License/Certification Required License/Certification Preferred Skills Required

- Demonstrated proficiency in records management, data management,
accounting, or other closely related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard applications
- Willingness to learn Microsoft Access including queries, forms design, and reports
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills such as high level of maturity and confidentiality of sensitive student information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills and ability to prioritize work
assignments
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and follow directions
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and can present abstract
concepts
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, critical
deadlines and the need for multitasking
- Adaptable to quickly learn and use University systems, processes, and procedures
- Ability to quickly learn regulations, policies, functions, and personnel within assigned
functional area

- Coordinates the maintenance of data, physical records, and communication for
functional area using specific software and programs
- Assists with the maintenance of completed current and historical records (physically
and digitally) for functional area to ensure quick retrieval of information and report,
and provides statistical information as needed
- Generates reports for management to make decisions regarding planning for
change, developing new processes, or archiving past information as needed
- Assists in the development, adherence, and maintenance of standards, policies, and
procedures; documents business processes, office policies and procedures involved,
audits documentation as needed
- Suggests process improvements and assists with support of strategic planning
- Prepares training materials
- Coordinates directly with other functional areas to ensure accuracy and appropriate
communication of final data
- Coordinates and maintains online related content
- Coordinates the creation of system functions and academic scheduling timelines for implementation
- Assists with the review, submission, and changes to listed data within functional
area; ensures timely updates and accuracy of General Announcements
- Inputs data per timelines
- Processes updates and changes related to functional area
- Reviews routine data integrity audits; reviews and analyzes data, corrects identified
errors and ensures data is accurate and consistent with guidelines and procedures
- Responds to inquiries in a timely manner providing direction and instruction as
needed
- Stays current with professional knowledge in functional area
- Performs all other duties as assigned
