Job Id: 346 # of Openings: 1 OFFICE OF CHRISTIAN OUTREACH - OCO FUNDRAISING GRADUATE ASSISTANTPart Time Position for 1 Academic Year - 20 hours per week / 10 month per year ResponsibilitiesThe Fundraising Graduate Student Assistant (GSA) is a part-time, 9-month position for a Wheaton College Graduate School student. The GSA works under the direction of the Director of the Office of Christian Outreach (OCO) and will have two major areas of responsibility: (1) contribute to the ministry of the OCO relating primarily to the development of student leaders, and (2) organizing and leading fundraising opportunities. Because of the nature of these duties, this position is good preparation for student development, vocational ministry, and future non-profit work. Duties

1. Meet weekly with the Director of OCO and attend weekly OCO staff meetings and OCO fall and spring staff retreats.
2. Participate with the staff in training OCO Cabinet Leaders at Student Development Leadership Workshop at Honeyrock as well as other development workshops throughout the school year.
3. Coordinate bi-weekly meetings with Fundraising Coordinators on student's cabinets.
4. Under the supervision of the Director, and in partnership with the Programs Development Coordinator and Student Cabinet Fundraising Coordinators, execute fundraising programs including but not limited to:
5. Fall and Spring Community Work Day – One day in the fall and spring where over 100 students go out into the community to work in local homes and churches.
6. First and Second Semester Fruit Baskets – Basket of snacks bought by parents for students during finals week.
7. Summer Ministry, Breakaway Ministry and Zoe's Feet support letters – Support letters sent from students to their family and friends for service/mission trips in the spring and summer.
8. Birthday Bag Fundraiser – Bag of treats bought by parents for student birthday celebrations.

Assist in managing fundraising platform in tracking donations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the OCO Director and Assistant Directors.

Qualifications

1. Graduate Student at Wheaton College.
2. Leadership development and mentoring experience with college students.
3. Experience participating in outreach/volunteering opportunities.
4. Experience in fundraising a plus.
