The incumbent will be responsible to help develop and support all CFS IT projects including generating needs assessment, workload, cost, and time estimates, prototyping, and prioritizing. General responsibilities include: applications/software development, configuration, requirements gathering, perform the day-to-day operations and service support; troubleshooting, implementing enhancements and bug fixes; maintain comprehensive documentation of applications development/maintenance processes and procedures; interface with hardware and software providers (internal and external) to deliver solutions that meet campus and UC business requirements. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm function checkForSelectedStatus(){ return true;} Qualifications for Position 22 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Demonstrated detailed working knowledge and experience in web application development and maintenance using the following tools, languages, and environments: MS .NET, ASP, C#, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, SOAP, HTML, CSS, ANSI SQL, ODBC, SSIS. Required Demonstrated database skills including familiarity with relational databases, database design, tuning normalization, stored procedures, administration and access control and ability to write SQL code. Required Ability to utilize relational data modeling methodologies and tools to design complex databases that are logical, efficient, are consistent with applicable business rules, and define system requirements. Required Demonstrated ability to design, prepare detailed specifications, program, test, and support custom application software that fulfils requirements, is user friendly, and is written and documented in adherence to standard coding methodologies. Required Detailed knowledge of standard development methodologies for the troubleshooting and tracking of bug fixes, prioritizing tasks, and moving new code into production, including best practices related to Design, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Version Control, coding standards, release standards, and other standard methodologies. Required Demonstrated working knowledge of LAN and Intel-based operating systems, applications, databases, and associated communication technologies such as TCP/IP and related interface requirements. Required Ability to analyze moderately complex multi-user software applications and formulate feasible and logical solutions Required Demonstrated skill in diagnosing a wide range of software- related problems and executing sound and efficient solutions. Required Demonstrated ability to perform appropriate systems testing and to review and monitor the testing process in a clear, complete, technically sound, and well-documented manner. Required Ability to complete projects with limited supervision and to work under pressure on multiple concurrent tasks, and conflicting priorities. Required Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports, specifications, project proposals, routine business correspondence, operating procedures and user/technical documentation. Required Skill in speaking concisely and logically using grammatically correct language to convey information, concepts, and ideas. Required Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and cooperative working relationships with managers, staff, and user department representatives. Required Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision. Required Ability to perform duties independently and with a great degree of accuracy, meeting established deadlines, working effectively under continual interruptions and heavy workload. Required Skill in setting goals and priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities when faced with fluctuating workloads, pressures of deadlines and competing requirements. Required Skill in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, recommending or implementing solutions and following through to completion. Required Skill in analyzing operating procedures and recommending necessary changes consistent with accepted business practices. Required Skill in analyzing information, situations and procedures to define problems and formulate conclusions. Required Ability to interpret customer needs, determine and work with knowledge experts to design supportive business/information systems. Required Ability to work flexible schedule including overtime, as dictated by operational needs and travel intra and interstate as may be necessary.
