Description:

Albion College invites applications for the Director for Residential Life. The Director for Residential Life is a member of the Albion College Student Affairs staff and reports directly to the Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students. The Director is responsible for enhancing a comprehensive student development program within a residential campus, including daily operation of the residential living experience, strategic planning, training, and supervision. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. Must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Status: Full-Time

Duration: 12 months per year


Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in student personnel or related field required
  • Five years or more of progressively full-time responsible experience in residential life and/or housing in a college or university setting, which has included supervision of staff
  • Supervisory experience of full-time professional staff preferred
