Position Summary:
Armstrong-Galley. The Sous Chef oversees the daily operations of the dining facility and ensures quality presentation of all food served to meet the standard established by the Director of Culinary Excellence. This position is located on the Armstrong campus in Savannah, Georgia.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees day-to-day culinary operations.
  • Coordinates food and kitchenware orders.
  • Checks freshness and quality of ingredients.
  • Standardizes recipes and plate presentations.
  • Estimates daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicates production needs to kitchen personnel daily.

    Associate’s Degree or two years of post-secondary education

    Three or more years of related work experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
