The Husson University School of Pharmacy is seeking Pharmacy Practice faculty with expertise in ambulatory or acute care practice. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Drug Information, and Psychiatry, although individuals with other backgrounds are welcome to apply. Pharmacy Practice Faculty hold full-time (12-month) ranked faculty positions in the School of Pharmacy with a direct report to the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs. Faculty members are expected to establish and maintain a clinical practice site for students' introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences, and to teach assigned courses specific to his/her area of expertise and as required by the curriculum. In addition, faculty members are expected to fulfill responsibilities in advising, scholarship, and service both to the School and University. The School of Pharmacy offers a traditional 4-year professional program. Students can enter via an undergraduate pathway, earning a BS in Health Sciences and a PharmD in 6 years, or enter the professional program directly with the appropriate prerequisites and an earned degree.Husson University is committed to delivering premier professional programs that emphasize experiential learning, interprofessional education, and student success. In addition to the School of Pharmacy, Husson University also offers healthcare degree programs from the Schools of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, and Education and Counseling. Together these programs constitute nearly one third of the University's enrollment.Husson University is a private institution of approximately 3500 undergraduate and graduate students located in Bangor, Maine.
