Nature of Work

This is a Client Services Technical position that will provide core IT technical support services. Core support includes troubleshooting, repair, quoting, and training for computer and base AV components and systems. Activities include Research, Quote, Install, Maintain, Repair, Image, Train customers, and Coordinate with vendors. Customers include Academic and Administrative services utilized by Administrators, Faculty, Staff, and Students. The position also delivers high level IT related customer service. 
Flexible schedule required allowing some evening and weekend support as needed.

Subject Matter Expert for campus wide digital signage. Duties include quoting, installing and maintaining digital signs across campus. Provides software training to users and assists in any and all repairs relating to digital signage. Candidate should be comfortable on ladders and can lift 50 pounds.

Provides high level event support for UWG VIP’s on and off campus. Candidate should have understanding of audio visual systems including projectors and microphones. Candidate will work with on-campus and off-campus partners to plan and execute audio/visual needs for VIP users while maintaining high customer skills and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1 (or more) years of demonstrated experience in technology related position with training in technology related installations, trouble-shooting hardware and software in a networked environment; OR High School Diploma and 3 years’ demonstrated experience in technology related position with training in technology-related installations, trouble-shooting hardware and software in a networked environment; OR a combination of education and demonstrated experience. Knowledge of basic software (e.g. MS Office, Adobe Suites and Antivirus). Knowledge of basic PC and Mac hardware and configurations. Knowledge of basic Audio Visual components and interconnections. Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a diverse constituency.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications for Computer – Audio Visual – Network – Service Desk. Demonstrated experience with Active Directory Administration; Server Administration; or Database Administration.

Salary $40,056.00/yrly Minimum - $52,356/yrly Midpoint Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Ability to work from a ladder and use power and hand tools. This position is expected to comply with the University’s standard working hours. In addition, this position must be available outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends, to complete routine system maintenance, or respond to emergency system outages.
