ECU Campus Living is currently seeking guest service specialists. The Guest Services Specialist is a part-time position during the summer with responsibilities that work with and support students and camp and conference guests at East Carolina University. Applicants should demonstrate the following skills:
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Critical thinking skills including the ability to problem solve and follow through with timely solutions
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Enthusiasm and positive attitude

The Guest Services Specialist is expected to fulfill the following general roles and responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service to students and guests of East Carolina University
- Accomplish residence hall pre-conference room inspections and post conference inspections
- Perform summer camp, conference, and summer school check-ins and outs of their respective buildings
- Manage Iris Front Desk (computer software system) to track billing, damages, lost keys, and other important details to camps and conferences
- Report and follow-up on maintenance and housekeeping concerns as needed
- Serve as a positive university representative on and off campus as well as online
- Participate in departmental initiatives
- Enforce Summer Conference, Campus Living, and ECU University policies
- Serve on an on-call rotation for safety and security of the building with participants during weeknights and weekends
- Other duties as assigned

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

The Guest Service Specialist (GSS) must be an undergraduate student at East Carolina University. He/she must have lived on the ECU campus at least one semester. He/she must have a minimum overall and semester 2.5 GPA and a clear judicial record.
