This is a seasonal position responsible for delivering environmental education classes for youth grades K-12 at Fortson 4-H Center in Hampton, GA, just south of Atlanta. The primary responsibility is to independently lead classes with a focus on ecology, team building, living history and outdoor skills. Other responsibilities involve animal care, maintenance of facilities and grounds, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Natural Science, Environmental Education, Biology, Outdoor Education or related fields preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Commitment, genuine interest in child development, dynamic personality, well-developed communication skills, creativity and leadership ability.

Physical Demands

Work in adverse physical and weather conditions and walk often throughout day to fulfill job responsibilities. Lift approximately 50 pounds.
