Description:

The UT Austin College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Professor with tenure, with a research focus in Translational Sciences focused on microbial infections. This is a position in the Division of Pharmacotherapy on the UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) campus. Pharmacotherapy division faculty are jointly appointed to the UT Health San Antonio School of Medicine.

The successful candidate will engage in productive interdisciplinary research, provide high-quality teaching in the College's professional and graduate educational programs, including the Translational Science PhD Program, and actively participate in university service. Rich research collaborations occur on both the UTHSA and UT Austin campuses, and in collaboration with the UT Health School of Public Health. The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive start-up package and generous office and laboratory space on the UT Health San Antonio campus. Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have both a PharmD and PhD degree and be able to demonstrate effective teaching. The candidate will demonstrate evidence of a sustainable, nationally recognized federally funded research program with a focus on Translational Sciences - the process of turning observations in the laboratory, clinic, and community into interventions that improve the health of individuals and the public. The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in microbial pathogenesis, resistance, genomics, and/or proteomics.

Applicants will be prompted to submit their letter of intent, curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy and interests, and a summary of current and planned research directed to an extramurally funded research program in Translational Sciences.
