The IT Business Analyst III, under direction, serves as technical lead for a specific business analysis project or service. Provides technical oversight for the application of and compliance with technical standards. Coordinates the technical activities of a systems analysis team. Completes reports and summaries for management and users including project status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries.
Responsibilities:
-Analysis and Specification Development. Collect, analyze, review, document, and define system scope based on business needs and requirements. Assess the needs of a client through direct interaction, mapping current and future business processes and look for opportunities to develop and improve the business through effective use of technology. Create detailed functional/technical system specifications. Designs data reporting and business intelligence systems to meet client needs.
-End User Training and Communication ? Develop and maintain training and documentation for end users. Document the current business process and prepares business/technical requirements for new or existing applications or module functions. Document business requirements and creates detailed function/technical specifications. Document application testing statistics, metrics, and results.
-System Testing Participate in the planning and testing of system configuration and maintenance. Implement complex patch/upgrade testing. Implement complex testing of reports and scripts.
-Problems/Change Management ? Work with clients and technical group to resolve system issues. Evaluates and follow through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated. Implement change management controls.
-Project Planning Support ? Assist Project Leader with developing work plans and time schedules for projects including outlining phases and identifying personnel and computing software requirements.
-System Maintenance and Security ? Identify needs for work requests may execute difficult corrections to system data. Implement system security procedures.
-Professional Development ? Attend professional development (webinars, workshops, vendor conferences, etc.)
-Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience :
Five years of related experience in business analysis.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of project management, mentoring, negotiation skills, basic vendor relations, advanced client relations skills, proposal writing, business acumen, persuasive communication, team leadership skills, and quality assurance methodologies.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Salary: $53,754
