Position Description:
With an overall campaign goal to double the current endowment for student support, totaling over $1Billion, the Executive Director of Development, Scholarships and Student Support Initiatives (SSI), will provide leadership to a variety of scholarship development efforts across the campus. This individual will provide guidance, oversight and strategic direction to professional fundraising staff creating and implementing comprehensive development efforts for SSI Initiatives aiming to continue and increase donor support for undergraduate scholarships, as well as other student support campus areas. The Executive Director will manage a portfolio of high-level prospects and will establish and execute long-range goals/objectives for development programs and activities that reflect the university's commitment to raising student support during the Centennial Campaign and beyond. This individual will conceptualize and design a communications plan and manage implementation in coordination with development offices across campus; will determine market feasibility for academic priorities and provide advice and counsel to development colleagues in collaboration with other members of the SSI development team; and will strategically plan, prepare for and participate in the scholarship gift solicitations, as well as constituent based (students, etc.) areas. In addition, The Executive Director will oversee and provide leadership to the Directors, Associate Directors and all staff within the Financial Aid & Scholarships, Student Affairs, Graduate Division and Core Programming teams.
