Department Summary

Under immediate supervision, this position performs delivery and receiving shipments on all property owned by University of denver

Position Summary

Essential Functions

Delivers orders to appropriate University Departments
Receives incoming shipments from outside vendors using scanner and computer programs
Picks up an transfers surplus equipment and supplies on campus.
Keeps warehouse in neat, clean and orderly conditions.
Performs related work as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Can communicate effectively with a variety of customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Capable of researching unmarked or mismarked shipments. Can take an organized approach to mapping and effective delivery schedule.
Maintain good driving record, operate vehicles with manual or automatic transmission, experience with the use and operation of a forklift, Operate a personal computer, computer terminal and scanner to enter and retrieve information in receiving environment.


Require Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required
Two years experience in warehouse work or related field

Education, Certifications, or Formal Training (Preferred)

Must posses a Valid Colorados Driver License and be insurable under University guidelines

Working Environment

Duties required outside driving, delivery, and other work during adverse weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures, snow and snow-packed roads, rain, etc.... Handle hazardous chemicals, solvents and gases

Physical Activities

Lifting bulky objects in excess of 100 pounds, hauling heavy object up and down stairs.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
