Position SummaryProvide analytical support to Steinhardt; work independently and collaboration with administrative and academic units to evaluate budget modifications, research financial discrepancies independently, analyze financial spreadsheet from departments and perform variance analysis on the Steinhardt expense management and Accounts Payable related activity for all Steinhardt departments . Provide statistical data, investigate, and resolve Account spend inconsistencies. Establish financial records and files and ensure that they are maintained and updated on an ongoing basis. Initiate and respond to various types of inquiries regarding financial policies, procedures, deadlines, etc. Assign, train and review work for a small group of student and/ or casual employees.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other analytical disciplinePreferred Education:N/ARequired Experience:Min 3 years quantitative analytical experience, preferably in finance or accountingPreferred Experience:N/ARequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong quantitative and modeling skills. Ability to use databases, workflow systems, and presentation and standard query tool software. Ability to understand management requirements and broader processes and to frame the result of research and financial analysis in a clear and concise fashion. Demonstrated proficiency with intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel.
