Position SummaryMichigan State University’s School of Criminal Justice has openings for up to 7 part time fixed term instructors/assistant instructors to teach one to two courses per year. Searching for candidates with expertise or experience teaching in criminal procedure, criminology, policing, courts, corrections, cyber-security, and private security. Duties include teaching online to undergraduate students during the year. Salary and terms are negotiable based on experience
Required DegreeMasters -Criminal Justice or Social Science
Desired DegreeDoctorate -Criminal Justice or Social Science
Minimum RequirementsThe positions require a master’s degree for the rank of Instructor or bachelor's degree for the rank of Assistant Instructor from an accredited university. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and/or significant work experience in areas related to the teaching assignment (e.g., policing, courts, corrections, private security, or cyber-security). Candidates must have the ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
