Job Summary Requisition Number: 29846 Job Title: PRODUCER/DIRECTOR Working Title: Video Editor/2D Compositor Salary: $23.36 - $28.04 hourly Job Type: Career Department Name: 5630-UNEX:INSTR DESIGN & LEARNING SUPPORT Department Website URL: Job Summary Statement: Under supervision of the Interim Director, the Video Editor/2D Compositor is a member of the Instructional Design and Learning Support (IDLS) team that creates instructional videos and other kinds of online media assets for UCLA Extension and courses and learning experiences.

The Video Editor/2D Compositor is responsible for video post-production, applying video from studio or location production into the appropriate project template - as requested by the Instructional Designer (ID) and Program Department, and designated by the Project Management System (PMS). In projects requiring additional effects and motion graphics, the incumbent integrates these using appropriate 2D/3D compositing/animation tools. Associate's, Bachelor's degree or continuing education certificate with a major or concentration in web/broadcast communications, instructional media, film/television production or a related field; and three years of professional media production experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required 2. Professional multimedia or video post-production and design experience in an educational or corporate training environment with an online portfolio of demonstrable work. Required 3. General knowledge of professional recording studio operation (video cameras, audio capture, lighting and grip techniques), and all stages of video production. Required 4. Ability to maintain rigorous and meticulous attention to detail, while working to achieve the highest quality standards. Required 8. Excellent interpersonal communications skills; ability to communicate technical/production specific details to audiences of varying technical/production fluency. Required 9. Bachelor degree in Film, Multimedia, Instructional Media, Communications or related discipline. Preferred 10. Experience with animation software (Maya, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, etc.) and techniques. Required 11. Experience with live video switching. Required 12. Ability to take creative direction in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with considerations for timelines, deliverables and budgets. Required 13.
