Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

A Visiting Assistant Professor is a non-tenure track appointment comprising teaching, research, and service. The teaching load for this position is 4 courses per semester. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Exercise Science and Sport and Human Performance programs. Teaching assignments may include classes such as Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Functional Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Clinical Exercise Physiology, and Motor Learning. Additionally, this faculty member would engage and collaborate in research that compliments current research and existing capabilities in the department. This faculty member would also participate in departmental and college meetings and committees.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Ph.D. or terminal degree in Exercise Science or related discipline; ABD will be considered.

Experience Required for the Position

Teaching experience at the university level preferred, and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Exercise Science and Sport and Human Performance (specific courses listed above).

Other Requirements for the Position

Excellent teaching record; evidence of scholarly productivity; and
involvement in service at the department, college, and professional levels.
