Since its inception, NYU has been a distinctly urban university, one that NYU founder, Albert Gallatin, called a university that is "in and of the city." NYU's global network comprises three degree-granting campuses: one in the heart of New York City, a second in Abu Dhabi, and a third in Shanghai. NYU's more than 50,000 students study more than 4,000 courses in hundreds of degree and non-degree programs at locations around the world. The Senior Admissions Officer/Assistant Director recruits, evaluates, and participates in the selection of candidates for admission. Maintains liaison with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process. Develops public presentations designed to promote the institution. Advises parents and applicants about educational planning. Typically responsible for more complex recruitment region or category than Admissions Officer 2.

Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Valid drivers license.
