Full Time Web Developer

Applications are being accepted for a full-time 1.5-year contract web developer. This position will develop and maintain the custom PHP based programming for Cornell College's internet and intranet to support the educational and business processes within the college while also interacting with end users to determine program/application requirements and debug existing programs which have reported errors. Cornell College offers a mixed WIMP and LAMP shop developing programming/applications using PHP, JQuery, JavaScript, MySql, and MSSQL. This position will interact with Atlassian help ticketing software within the college to receive requests and any new development will need to use an in-house framework loosely based on Cake PHP. This position will also participate in code reviews of programming developed within the DevOps group and assume responsibility to deliver production code complete and on time. This position reports directly to the Director of Information technology and interacts daily with faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field is strongly recommended. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.  Ability to develop schema and tables within MySql preferred. Experience with LAMP system maintenance, active directory, and using Hannon Hills Cascade CMS program preferred. Windows server updating experience and experience administering WordPress Blog sites also preferred.
