POSITION: Full-time Non-tenure track faculty position in the Undergraduate Nursing Program

 

         

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Ph.D. or DNP preferred, MSN required.  Experience in adult health medical-surgical nursing or adult health advanced practice nursing.  Prior experience in nursing education including nursing simulation preferred.

 

         

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide high quality nursing instruction in a highly reputable, CCNE-accredited nursing education program grounded in the liberal arts.  Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate, pre-licensure nurses on topics across the fundamentals and medical-surgical nursing areas; advising; clinical supervision; simulation experience development, coordination, and supervision; department responsibilities; and collaboration across the different nursing programs.  The successful candidate will have a commitment to the department’s mission of preparing and mentoring nursing students to practice nursing within a Sacred Covenant Model for nursing.

 

 

 

COMPENSATION:Nine‑month contract with possibility of summer teaching, and good potential for renewal of position. Salary determined by education and experience.

 

 

 

APPOINTMENT DATE:One-year position begins mid-August 2019. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
