Job Summary The Executive Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for all components related to the recruitment and admission of new dual enrollment and undergraduate students as well as enrollment services for graduate students to Clayton State University. This position is responsible for ensuring conformity with all Board of Regents and Clayton State University policies and regulations that affect admission of students to the university.

The Executive Director serves as a representative of the university to external agencies and constituents promoting the image of the university and communicating information about its programs and services. The Executive Director serves as a member of the Enrollment Management Leadership team and reports to the Associate Vice President.

Responsibilities Coordinate, manage, and supervise all components, managers, and staff of the Office of Recruitment & Admissions and Graduate Enrollment Services. This includes the recruitment team, IT support, processing, Welcome Center, Strategic Communications Unit which serves multiple Enrollment Management teams, Orientation, Graduate Enrollment Services, Corporate Recruiting, and International Admissions.

Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to recruit and enroll new dual enrollment, undergraduate and graduate students to Clayton State through university collaboration.

Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications division to develop and monitor the effectiveness of our marketing plan, printed collateral, website, and virtual view book.

Evaluate and modify when necessary policies and procedures to ensure we are focused on serving the needs of our potential students.

Develop new undergraduate student opportunities within the Board of Regents and Clayton State University policies and regulations.

Develop and analyze regular enrollment statistics to ensure strategies are evaluated regularly.

Provide an office climate that is focused on providing potential students an opportunity to enroll at Clayton State and focused on achieving goals.

Represent the university to external agencies and institutions, prospective students and their parent’s on-campus and in the community.

Collaborate with the School of Graduate Studies Dean in the development of admissions, retention, and registration related strategies in an effort to grow our graduate student enrollment.

Participate in University and University System of Georgia committees related to enrollment.

Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Required Qualifications

Significant years of experience related to managing an admissions or recruitment office.

Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Significant knowledge of trends and issues facing higher education.

Knowledge of basic marketing principles and recruiting strategies.

Experience with a Customer Relationship Management program and Banner (preferred).

Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.

Ability to prioritize work assignments and handle multiple priorities.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making.
