Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides college-wide leadership and administrative oversight for all aspects of institutional research, internal and external program accreditation and review, and health care initiatives. This includes program and departmental review, accreditation reports, site visits, and monitoring reports. Provides strategic leadership to Evidence & Inquiry providing the College with access to data for strategic and informed decision making. Responsible for compliancy with health care partners, including background checks, immunization and affiliation agreements. May lead the development of new health care programs, identified through a College-wide programmatic planning process in collaboration with appropriate academic deans, Vice President of Learning & Engagement and Campus Presidents. Serves as the liaison between the College and healthcare partners. Serves as the College-wide coordinator of related Testing Centers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Leads College-wide efforts to conduct internal program and departmental level reviews

· Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the department of Evidence & Inquiry

· Ensures the College’s leadership position of being a data rich, data-informed institution

· Strengthens and broadens the service components of the Evidence & Inquiry department

· Leads College-wide efforts to conduct successful external program-level accreditation reviews/visits including annual reporting

· Reviews accreditation reports and consults with Deans and Associate Deans regarding program accreditation

· Facilitates mock site visits and accreditation visits, and supervises project management to achieve successful re-accreditations

· Oversees the negotiation and implementation of clinical affiliation agreements

· Coordinates activities related to background checks and immunization compliancy

· Participates in program advisory committee meetings

· Provides strategic leadership and College-wide coordination of related Testing Centers’ services and delivery methods in collaboration with departmental leadership

· Collaborates with Access and Completion departments and local school districts to develop outreach programs and processes to ensure a pipeline of future healthcare students

· Consults with campuses on building and renovating for healthcare program facilities

· Ensures the College’s position in the community as a leader in the education and training of health care workers through the expansion and development of new programs that represent the latest and future health career needs

· Represents the College in the community with organizations that deal with health care delivery

· Creates partnerships with external organizations to identify and secure funding opportunities

· Identifies and manages appropriate grant programs that if awarded, would support and enhance the department’s plans and goals

· Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

· Master's degree in a related field

  • Significant related experience may substitute for education
    • Minimum of eight years of demonstrated experience working in higher education, especially a multi-campus environment
    • Demonstrated administrative leadership in higher education

    · Demonstrated experience exercising leadership by collaborating across boundaries to accomplish a key initiative or advance a strategic goal

    · Demonstrated experience with institutional research projects

    · Demonstrated experience forecasting, planning, maintaining, preparing and monitoring a business area’s budget

    · Demonstrated experience effectively developing strategies and making decisions that have significant, broad implications on the management and operations of a division (or equivalent business area)

    · Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

    · Possess comprehensive knowledge of institutional research methodologies theories, concepts and practices with the ability to apply in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

    · Possess working knowledge of issues and latest trends in higher education as they relate to institutional research, program accreditation and health care

    · Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

    · Ability to balance broad strategic thinking with attention to detail

    · Possess excellent research skills

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • Doctorate degree
  • Demonstrated experience working with faculty at a two or four-year university
  • Demonstrated experience with grant writing and development
  • Demonstrated experience with and appreciation of the issues facing higher education, especially those related to institutional research and health care education
  • Demonstrated experience implementing outcomes at the institutional, program or course level
