Job Summary/Basic Function

The Data Science Program at Maryville University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Data Science program, both in online and traditional face-to-face course settings. Additionally, the successful candidate must be committed to excellence in teaching in a student-centered environment, must have the ability to work collaboratively with others, the ability to employ the latest technology tools, and have demonstrated scholarly potential. The competitive candidate must be committed to fostering a cultural diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students.

Minimum Qualifications

•PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
•Student centered approach and passion for teaching and mentoring a diverse student population
•Demonstrated evidence of research potential
•Strong commitment to service students, department, university and profession

Preferred Qualifications

•Strong publication record
•Evidence of excellent teaching potential in data science at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
•Experience in online teaching
•Online course development experience

On the Maryville campus, academic, administrative and housing buildings span 130-acres of beautiful wooded and landscaped scenery. Maryville has constructed 10 new campus buildings since 1998.
