DescriptionThe Office of Academic Advising and Undergraduate Studies provides academic support, educational programs and opportunities for research and post-graduate fellowships for graduate and undergraduate students in the Schools of Arts and Sciences and the Engineering. The Health Professions Advising program is a part of the AAUS and it offers information, advice and support to all Tufts students and alumni who are interested in pursuing graduate study and subsequently careers in the health professions.

The Program Coordinator provides advanced support and coordination for the Postbac Premed Program, Health Careers Fellows Program and the Health Professions Recommendation Committee. Participates in development of program marketing and communications material using current web- based technologies, supports current students and responds to prospective student inquiries, coordinates logistics for program events, provides research assistance, maintains databases and writes reports.

QualificationsBasic Requirements:

  • Knowledge & experience as typically acquired by High School diploma & 5+ years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of related experience. 
  • Experience with web-based technologies and social media essential.
  • Skilled in word processing, database management, and spreadsheet development.
  •  Great organizational skills, creative use of technology, and excellent communication skills.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with Slate highly preferred.Knowledge of/or experience with college academic advising or retention programs or health professions a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
