Under the direction of the Director of Development Communications, the Development Coordinator position provides creative writing, design, and project management support for a wide range of marketing and communications programs and projects to increase awareness of and private support for Texas State University. This position produces print and digital communications, and coordinates updates to marketing collateral materials and project websites to support development officers/clients. To execute this work, this position will frequently collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including University Advancement staff, donors and volunteers. This position also coordinates website updates and conducts inventory of promotional items and marketing collateral.Job Duties
•Contribute content and design, edit, and produce reports, newsletters, collateral, case statements, info graphics, invitations, fliers and other print and digital communications.
•Coordinate the production of event promotion materials including, but not limited to, signage, promotional items, photography, presentation material, and event website updates.
•Provide support for Development campaigns and initiatives.
•Manage inventory and ordering of promotional items and marketing collateral with vendors. Update inventory availability and compile monthly summaries.
•Take digital photos of development events. Upload and catalog in-house and professional photography on shared server and digital asset management system.
•Make text and image edits to University Advancement websites and associated program webpages using the GATO content management system.
•Conduct research to build copy content and collect data for annual reports, info graphics, donor profiles and various other print and electronic productions.
•Coordinate and process shipping of marketing and promotional materials.
•Occasional travel is required. Must be able to travel independently to events and other university locations.
