The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting with the implementation of courses, programs, training and business services delivered by the HCAT Institute. The Program Assistant is responsible for performing clerical, technical and administrative functions to support the enrollment, instructional and marketing activities. The Program Assistant works with students, faculty and instructors, contract customers, staff and senior administrators.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide office and administrative support for HCAT programs and operations. Maintain department files. Develop appropriate office procedures to ensure efficiency and professionalism.

Interact and effectively communicate with current and prospective students. Actively participate in HCAT and college recruitment activities.

Participate in the development and execution of HCAT operations, activities and special events, as assigned.

Maintain class schedules and room assignments for HCAT programming. Produce enrollment and other program reports as assigned.

Maintain professional and effective communication with colleagues, administration, industry partners and advisory organizations.

Perform other duties as assigned by program management.

Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED

Minimum of one (1) year of responsible administrative experience is required.

Basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required.
Basic level of proficiency with social media, such as Facebook.

Problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills and the ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

Ability to work with minimal supervision with attention to accuracy, details and deadlines is required.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.

Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with students, adjunct faculty, staff, and the public is required.
Ability to work a flexible 40 hour/week schedule, including some weekends and evenings to accommodate the needs of the program is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree preferred.
