The Department of Psychology in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences invites applications and nominations for the position of Lecturer. This position is located on the Statesboro campus.

Within this setting, the Department of Psychology offers a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and an APA-accredited PsyD. This individual position will teach courses at the undergraduate level on the main campus, located in Statesboro, Georgia. The Statesboro campus offers the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Psy.D. degrees.

Position Description. Reporting to the Department Chair, the Lecturer requires teaching courses in psychological statistics, research methods, and courses in the candidate's specialty area, as well as departmental service responsibilities. The position is an academic (9/10 month), non-tenure track appointment at the Statesboro Campus, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:
• Earned M.S. or M.A. in psychology, by June 1, 2019
• Evidence of college/university teaching excellence
• Ability to teach Research & Analysis (psychological statistics and research methodology)
• Effective communication skills
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without assistance from the institution

Preferred Qualifications:
• Earned doctoral degree in psychology, by July 1, 2019
• Evidence of successful teaching in Research & Analysis (psychological statistics or research methods) courses or related area
• Interest in teaching large sections of Introduction to Psychology
• Interest in developing/teaching online courses
