Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Linguistics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need may include but is not limited to:
LING 2040 Endangered Languages
LING 3060.802 Language Study
LING 3060 Principles of Language Study (non-majors)
LING 3070 Introduction to Linguistics (majors)
LING 3060.002 Language Study
LING 4040 Phonetics & Phonology
LING 4050 Morphology
LING 5040 Principles of Linguistics
LING 5080 Teaching ESL
LING 5090 Pedagogical Grammar
LING 5380 Field Methods

Minimum Qualifications:
MA in Linguistics or related field; teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or doctoral level coursework in Linguistics or a related field. Research in Linguistics and experience teaching one or more of the anticipated courses is also a plus.
