Department/Organization: 505171 - Supply Store - Ferguson

Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some weekends & extended hrs.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the IT Technician III performs a variety of standard and non-standard specialized or technical IT support services following established procedures. Knows and applies fundamental IT concepts, practices and procedures, including hardware, software and networks, as well as troubleshooting and documentation. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.

Additional Department Summary: Provides technical support and repair service support for customers' computer related issues and provides customer service for the Apple Campus Store and computer department at the University Supply Store. Assists with ordering and stocking of Apple systems and other computer-related merchandise from various vendors. Assists with training and supervising others in the Apple Campus Store and University Supply Store's computer department.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or higher and three (3) years of IT experience, OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. Knowledge of basic programming, networking, or system skills. May require intermediate level training or certification. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or higher and three (3) years of IT experience, to include some experience in providing computer technical support and/or sales of computers and supporting software.

Skills and Knowledge: Must have advanced computer skills. Must possess demonstrated excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of a two year degree in a computer-related or other relevant technical field with one year of relevant computer related work experience. Prefer applicant have Apple Certified Macintosh Technician certification (ACMT) if not, as part of the position must become an ACMT.
