The Biostatistics Center of the Milken Institute School of Public Health is an off-campus research facility of The George Washington University located in Rockville, Maryland. The Biostatistics Center serves as the coordinating center for large scale multi-center clinical trials and epidemiological studies funded by federal agencies including the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This entry level position uses statistical software to program basic and advanced statistical analyses. This role meets with investigators and multidisciplinary teams to review and advise on statistical analyses, and assists in writing up results for presentation and publication. Under administrative guidance and review, this position collaborates on designing and monitoring biomedical research projects and contributes to the analysis and presentation of project data. This position designs tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies, writes statistical computer programs and reviews computer output for consistency and quality, and analyzes data and prepares tables for review by senior biostatistician employees.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold a MS or MPH in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
