This is paraprofessional work involved in supporting student services programs in the Science, Math, and Technology Division. Under direction, the employee assists in the planning, coordination, and support of services such as student recruitment, orientation, job skills, special events and activities, and tours for individual and specialized programs within the division. The employee will also assist with other administrative support needs within departments of the division. Public contact is essential and can include students, staff, other educational institutions, community and business representatives, governmental agencies and the general public, for the purpose of exchanging program information and services. The Program Services Coordinator can lead the work of student assistants, proctors, and other staff as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assists in planning and facilitation of workshops, symposiums, tours, job fairs, advisory board meetings, and other special events in conjunction with management, faculty and other staff
2. Coordinates logistics and establishes timelines, required materials, online support services, facilities, publicity, and other program and event needs
3. Assists in planning of joint events with other college departments and programs, and with outside business and community representatives
4. Provides support for special application process into career technical education programs
5. Participates in presentations to small and large groups as a program and college representative
6. Communicates and exchanges information with students, staff, other educational institutions, community and business representatives, vendors, governmental agencies, and the general public regarding a variety of college programs, services, eligibility requirements, policies, timelines, required forms, and other information
7. Supports faculty and division staff in compiling and managing student learning outcome data, accreditation processes and reporting, grant reporting processes, and updating of department and division websites
8. Enters, modifies, and retrieves online data; uses a variety of software to compose, format, and prepare correspondence, memoranda, publicity materials, surveys, brochures, flyers, bulletins, reports, presentations, and other materials
9. Sets up and maintains confidential and other files
10. Plans and coordinates lay-out, graphics, photography, and other artwork, editing, printing, multimedia enhancements, web page information, distribution and other services in conjunction with other staff, students, and/or vendors as appropriate
11. Assists dean and division assistant as needed
12. Directs and coordinates the work of student assistants, test proctors, and other staff as assigned
13. Performs other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sociology, human resources, or a closely related field
• Successful experience of increasing responsibility in education, social services, human resources or related area
• Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
• Experience with program planning, implementation and evaluation
• Experience with training and leading the work of others
• Experience with researching, formatting, assessing and preparing data for reports and other materials
• Experience with the use of a variety of computer software to track and monitor data
• Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication, including public speaking
• Demonstrated skill in multi-tasking, prioritizing workloads, and working independently
• Demonstrated skill in working as part of a customer service teamKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

This classification requires sitting for various lengths of time; the ability to type, use phone, occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects of light to moderate weight; work at a computer, including viewing a monitor for various lengths of time, repetitive use of keyboard, mouse or other control device, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate keyboard; and ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive to off campus locations in order to perform the essential functions.Preferred Qualifications Benefits
